Çağla Şimşek Born and raised in Istanbul, Çagla Simsek started her acting career as a child actor at Elveda Derken (2007), playing the naive Teenager Naz before portraying Toprak Benchmark Erdenay of Yersiz yurtsuz (2laidad). Here, a discovery by actor Osman Yağmurdereli laid the seeds of her future success in showbiz. Her journey went on with Kırmızı Işık (2008), the fantasy series Kayıp Prenses (2008–09) and Cuma’ya Kalsa(2010, directly opposite Haluk Bilginer as her first leading role.

Şimşek gained recognition with her appearance as Zehra Kara Kirman in Küçük Gelin (2013-2015).
