Coming From a Middle Class Garhwali Rajput Family

He was born into a Garhwali Rajput family in Panchur village, Yamkeshwar tehsil, district Pauri (nowterhitgarh) of Uttarakhand. His father, Anand Singh Bisht was a forest ranger who served for more than 40 years. Sadly, he died last year and this was a loss that Yogi — now serving as Chief Minister of UP — couldn’t come to terms with on his own because due to the demands of managing COVID-19 at home in Lucknow then for him an accompanying visit was impossible. Her mother, Savitri Devi, 85 now and a homemaker known for her modesty and her traditional lifestyle.
